Seth Rollins has a new role outside of WWE

Seth Rollins looks set to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The former WWE Universal Champion has been spotted on the set of Captain America: New World Order in Atlanta, Georgia and it has been speculated that Rollins will play a member of the Serpent Society, rumoured to be the villains of the fourth Captain America movie.

Few details have been officially revealed about the latest Captain America film outside of that it will be released on May 3, 2024. It began principal photography in March of this year.

Anthony Mackie will reprise his role as Sam Wilson, who took on the mantle of Captain America following The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Steve Rogers - played by Chris Evans - was the original Captain America but he passed his shield on to Wilson at the end of 2019's Avengers: Endgame.

WWE already has a presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as future WWE Hall of Famer Batista portrayed Drax the Destroyer of the Guardians of the Galaxy from 2014 until 2023. Becky Lynch was set to make her MCU debut in an Eternals post-credit scene alongside Harry Styles to set up a future movie or TV series but the scene was scrapped as it was deemed to be "too depressing". David Otunga also made a brief cameo in She-Hulk.
