Seth Rollins Vs. Riddle Pulled From WWE SummerSlam

No Riddle vs. Seth Rollins at WWE SummerSlam

A match has been pulled from Saturday's SummerSlam card and WWE announced that Riddle vs. Seth Rollins would no longer be taking place in Nashville. The announcement was made on The Bump and presenters Kayla Braxton and Matt Camp claimed Riddle suffered a stinger on Monday Night Raw and was, therefore, medically disqualified from competing until further notice.

Riddle's injury is just in storyline, though, Fightful Select reported and the current plan is for The Original Bro to face Rollins at Clash At The Castle on September 3. Those Fightful spoke to noted the match was scrapped because of "creative adjustments."

Rollins reacted to the match's cancellation, tweeting: "For anyone who purchased a ticket to #SummerSlam hoping to see me in action, I apologize. I did everything I could over the last 6 months to earn my spot on this show, but some things are out of my control. Thank you for always singing my song. They'll hear ya someday."

Rollins could still end up having a match on the card it seems, as Triple H replied: "I hear you." The new head of creative is reportedly looking to make a splash at SummerSlam.
