Several AEW, NJPW & CMLL Wrestlers Unaware Of Forbidden Door Plans

It is only just a week until the upcoming 2026 Forbidden Door PPV, which is promoted to represent the likes of AEW, NJPW, CMLL, and STARDOM. Following on from AEW Dynamite & Collision this past week, several new matches have been announced for the show, with the card currently being made up of nine bouts. However, many of those across all rosters of multiple companies have been kept in the dark about plans for the fast-approaching show.

According to a report from Fightful Select, talent across all promotions involved in Forbidden Door 2026 have mentioned that as of this week’s edition of Dynamite they still didn’t know their plans for the show, if any at all. It was noted that this isn’t necessarily out of the ordinary, with many expecting their plans to be told to them the week of the show. 

The report also mentioned that originally Gabe Kidd was set to be a big part of plans for Forbidden Door 2026, but his injury earlier derailed this momentum, with him originally expected to play off his comments towards New Japan.
