Several More Lucha Underground Stars Seeking Releases

An increasingly-messy situation...

Lucha Central is reporting that three more Lucha Underground talents are seeking their contractual release from the promotion, while a fourth could be on that same path.

Matanza Cueto (Jeff Cobb), Famous B, and XO Lishus (Sonny Kiss) have reportedly all sought legal representation to help free them from their current deals.

Meanwhile, So Cal Uncensored is claiming that AAA owner Dorian Roldan is threatening to send cease and desists to Ring of Honor and the NWA for using LU-contracted talent Willie Mack, who dropped the NWA National title to Colt Cabana at Saturday's Crockett Cup event in Concord, NC. Lucha Central speculates that Mack is likely to join the same legal cause as the aforementioned wrestlers.

Cobb has wrestled for Ring of Honor since the fall of 2018, where he currently holds the Television title. Kiss is scheduled to take part in the Over Budget Battle Royal at AEW Double or Nothing on May 25.

Earlier this year, the El Rey Network and Baba-G Productions (Lucha Underground's production company) settled a class action lawsuit with Joey Ryan, Ivelisse Velez, El Hijo del Fantasma, and Kobra Moon, which enabled the four to receive their releases from Lucha Underground.
