Shane McMahon Seemingly Still Working For WWE

Helping the company still

While reports noted last week that Shane McMahon was "out" of WWE following his behaviour at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, relations between Shane and his father Vince McMahon seemingly haven't wholly deteriorated.

In a tweet on Wednesday, the owner of South African rugby union side 'Sharks' Marco Masotti posted a photo of him alongside Shane and co-owner of the Florida Panthers Doug Cifu in which he hinted at a partnership between WWE and rugby.

"So grateful for a night out with brothers Shane McMahon (son of WWE Vince) and Doug Cifu (co-owner of Florida Panthers). Excited for a partnership between WWE and rugby. ⁦@WWE⁩ ⁦@SharksRugby⁩ ⁦@FlaPanthersBlog⁩ ⁦@Dougielarge⁩ ⁦@shanemcmahon," Masotti tweeted.

McMahon returned to WWE on Saturday, January 29 for the Royal Rumble but Shane's heavy involvement in producing the Men's Rumble reportedly left Vince McMahon no choice but to let him go.

McMahon was said to be confrontational backstage and him wanting to book himself into a prime spot, along with other ideas, ended up being shot down by Vince McMahon which left Shane visibly unhappy. The 52-year-old also had disagreements with Brock Lesnar and after Shane garnered heat backstage, he was out of WWE by Wednesday, February 2.
