Shane McMahon Training Again Following WWE WrestleMania 39 Injury

Shane is back in the weight room following major surgery

Shane McMahon is back in the gym, just a few weeks after tearing his quad on night two of WrestleMania 39.

Shane made his surprise return at the Showcase of the Immortals, making his first WWE appearance for over a year. Unfortunately, the 'Best in the World' suffered the debilitating injury just moments into his impromptu match with WrestleMania host The Miz.

Miz and Snoop Dogg were then forced to improvise a finish to the segment.

Posting on his Instagram account, Shane shared a video of him training at the Sanders Fit Performance Centre in Dallas, Texas. In the clip he can be seen wearing a leg brace.

It's unknown how long McMahon will be out of action for, though it typically takes between six and 12 months to recover from a torn quad.

For reference, Triple H was absent between May 2001 and January of 2002 when he tore his quad (the first time). The Game also relocated to Birmingham, Alabama in order to intensely rehab the injury and return faster.

At this stage, it is unknown whether there are future plans to use Shane McMahon on WWE television, or whether his WrestleMania appearance was a one-off.
