Shane "Sw3rve" Strickland Debuts At AEW Revolution

AEW is Sw3rve's house now

Shane "Sw3rve" Strickland made his AEW debut at Revolution on Sunday night in Orlando.

Tony Schiavone presided over a segment in which Strickland signed his AEW contract. Schiavone preceded the introduction of Sw3rve by noting that he'd called a number of his matches several years ago (though didn't mention MLW by name).

After signing his contract, Strickland led the crowd through the "Whose house? / Sw3rve's house" chant.

Strickland's debut had been heavily reported on over the preceding days. He was spotted at last night's AEW concert in Orlando, with one of the songs specifically mentioning him several times.

Two years after debuting in NXT, Sw3rve (as Scott) formed Hit Row with Top Dolla, Ashante Thee Adonis, and B-Fab on the developmental brand. A month later, Sw3rve won the NXT North American title from Bronson Reed (Jonah).

That October, all four members of Hit Row were drafted to the SmackDown brand. However, B-Fab was released the first week of November, and the other three were let go two weeks later.

Since leaving WWE, Sw3rve has wrestled on NJPW Strong, and for PROGRESS, TERMINUS, and DEFY.
