Wardlow Wins Face Of The Revolution Ladder Match
"Mr. Mayhem" gets a TNT title shot
Wardlow is the winner of the six-man Face of the Revolution ladder match at AEW Revolution on Sunday night in Orlando, outlasting Keith Lee, Powerhouse Hobbs, Ricky Starks, Orange Cassidy, and Christian Cage.
By virtue of his victory, Wardlow will receive a TNT title shot on the March 16 "St. Patrick's Day Slam" Dynamite in San Antonio. He will face the winner of the Sammy Guevara vs. Scorpio Sky TNT title match that takes place on this Wednesday's Dynamite.
Late in the match, Wardlow knocked Lee and Hobbs off the stage through some tables below. Back inside the ring, Cage and Starks set two ladders up, one wedged horizontally into a standing ladder, forming a bridge.
Wardlow made it back to the ring and powerbombed Cage, as Starks tried to climb and retrieve the golden ring. Wardlow then leapt to the side of the ladder where Starks was, and powerbombed him onto the ladder bridge. Wardlow then turned and pulled down the ring to win the match.
Danhausen also got involved late in the bout, briefly distracting Starks by "cursing" him.
