Shawn Michaels Gets Physical At Saturday Night's Main Event

It has been quite some time since The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels pulled out his classic Sweet Chin Music, but on last night’s Saturday Night’s Main Event broadcast, the Hall Of Famer got physical once again. 

Michaels officiated a contract signing between Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and self-proclaimed Winged Eagle WWE Champion Kevin Owens, getting both men to sign a contract ahead of their ladder match for both titles at the upcoming Royal Rumble PLE on February 1 at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. After Owens and Rhodes traded some harsh words, Owens smacked the contract into Michaels’ chest. He followed this up by taking a cheap shot on Rhodes, forcing Michaels to get involved and get in the way of Owens. 

Much like he’s done to Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes previously, Owens kicked Michaels and teased setting him up for a devastating Piledriver. Rhodes hit a superkick just in time, before Michaels hit a superkick of his own, nailing Kevin Owens with Sweet Chin Music. The hometown audience in San Antonio, Texas were happy to see Michaels perform his iconic finisher.

Michaels was one of several legendary cameos at Saturday Night's Main Event, though Hulk Hogan was not one of them, reportedly missing due to it being his son's wedding.
