As WWE's third brand, NXT has cemented itself on Wednesday nights with stars like Johnny Gargano, Adam Cole, Finn Balor, The Velveteen Dream, Tommaso Ciampa, and Keith Lee. All of those Superstars are the cornerstones of the black and gold brand, but some will eventually make their way to either Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown.
WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels has been working with the next generation of WWE talent at the Performance Center and on NXT TV. He was the most recent guest on WWE Backstage, in which Renee Young asked The Heartbreak Kid who he thought the next stars of NXT will be.
Michaels said: "But now, Killer Kross or Karrion Kross, I should probably do better about saying. Dexter Lumis, Tim Thatcher. There are a number of guys coming up that are going to be very interesting, and again, are going to take NXT to the next level, as they say."
All three wrestlers have been featured heavily on NXT TV in recent weeks. The Herald Of Doomsday is set to feud with Tommaso Ciampa, Lumis teamed with The Velveteen Dream to defeat The Undisputed ERA on April 22, and Thatcher finds himself in an unlikely faction with NXT Tag Team Champions Pete Dunne and Matt Riddle.
