Shayna Baszler has revealed she is open to signing with All Elite Wrestling following her release by WWE.

Appearing on the Ariel Helwani Show, Baszler stated: "It's not a secret I'm really good friends with Marina (Shafir), I have a lot of good friends there. So there's been some discussion as to what the future could hold, for sure."

After being asked directly about if she would like to sign with AEW, Baszler added: "I said almost exactly this statement when people were talking about my UFC to WWE transition: I don't care as much of the letters behind it, I just want to practice my craft. And if I can do that alongside my friends, that's always a great place to be. So, I'm not going to say a hard no to any of that."

Baszler was released as part of cuts to the roster on May 2 along with the likes of Dakota Kai, Braun Strowman, Katana Chance, Kayden Carter, Cora Jade, and Gigi Dolin.

While under her 90-day non-compete clause, reports noted that Baszler was a producer for Kelani Jordan vs. Lainey Reid at WWE NXT, and she had been an agent for other matches, with WWE "seeing how things" went for Baszler in such a role.

Baszler noted further on the Ariel Helwani Show that she just happened to be at the WWE Performance Center on a Tuesday to help out some friends, but denied that she produced any matches.

"I happened to be in to help some friends of mine work on some submission transition stuff. And it happened to be on a Tuesday. But I wasn't like standing there putting this match together, writing down the notes and on a mic to the truck being like, 'Alright, we're gonna need a floor camera.' As far as that whole thing sitting on a headset on NXT, I've been doing that forever," she added.

During her eight-year run with WWE, Shayna Baszler became a two-time NXT Women's Champion and three-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion.
