Shayna Baszler's Betrayal Of Ronda Rousey Foreshadowed With Warhammer 40,000 Gear

Shayna Baszler brings Warhammer 40K to WWE

Fans of Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 would have seen Shayna Baszler's betrayal of Ronda Rousey at WWE Money in the Bank coming.

Baszler and Rousey defended the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles against Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey at the July 1 pay-per-view and the champions looked set to retain the gold until Baszler suddenly attacked Rousey and choked out her tag team partner with the Kirifuda Clutch. Baszler then quit the match which allowed the challengers to hit Rousey with a Chingona Bomb and Oblivion for the win.

Baszler has since confirmed that she foreshadowed her turn on Ronda Rousey, noting on Instagram that her gear at Money in the Bank was inspired by the Sons of Horus, the Imperial Legion of Space Marines led by Warmaster Horus that ended up betraying the Emperor of Mankind to kick off the Horus Heresy.

The civil war in the 31st century began after Horus was corrupted by Chaos and the war lasted for nine years until Horus was slain by the Emperor on Earth.

Money in the Bank wasn't the only Warhammer 40,000-inspired gear that Baszler has worn and she sported Luna Wolves gear to the ring when she and Rousey unified the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles and NXT Women's Tag Team Championships. The Luna Wolves was the original name of Horus' imperial legion until he rebranded them as the Sons of Horus.

According to reports, Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey are scheduled to have a singles match at SummerSlam. Rousey could soon be leaving WWE as it has been reported she has a hard-out date in her WWE deal.
