Shayna Wayne Costs Adam Copeland The Win Over Christian Cage On AEW Dynamite

Shayna Wayne costs Adam Copeland the TNT Title on AEW Dynamite

Christian Cage remains the TNT Champion.

The leader of the Patriarchy defended the TNT Championship against real-life best friend Adam Copeland on the December 6 edition of AEW Dynamite in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The expectation was Cage would retain the title with shenanigans in play and that was indeed the case.

Referee Bryce Remsburg took a tumble during the closing minutes which prompted Nick Wayne's mother Shayna Wayne to enter the match and grab the TNT Title. She briefly teased hitting Christian Cage, who was begging on his knees, but she instead turned the belt on Adam Copeland, decking the former Edge with the championship.

This made the remainder of the match easy for Christian and he followed up with a Killswitch and a stomp while Copeland's head was across the TNT Title before the referee counted the 1-2-3.

Wayne did not hang about to celebrate with Cage, signalling she has not decided to join The Patriarchy at this time. Instead, her actions were motivated by Copeland taking out Nick Wayne with a conchairto on the post-Full Gear edition of Dynamite.
