Sheamus Vs. LA Knight Set For SmackDown Next Week

LA Knight and Sheamus have had their upcoming WWE SummerSlam plans announced, as the pair were each added to the Slim Jim SummerSlam Battle Royal by Adam Pearce during last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. 

LA Knight was seen confronting Pearce backstage, and this prompted Sheamus and the Brawling Brutes to appear. Sheamus claimed that he could hear Knight from miles away, and accused him of being “Mr. Catchphrase” before stating that catchphrases won’t help him win the battle royal at SummerSlam. To halt the growing tensions in the room, Pearce announced that on the go-home show next week, LA Knight would go one-on-one with Sheamus. The pair were each involved in the fatal four way match last week to help determine the new number one contender for the United States Championship, so this continues their bad blood. Their one and only previous WWE match together came on a house show. 

Thus far, nothing else has been announced for next week’s episode of SmackDown.
