Report: Backstage News On Nick Aldis' Latest IMPACT Wrestling Run

More news on Nick Aldis’ latest IMPACT run

After a whirlwind three month run, Nick Aldis has once again departed IMPACT Wrestling, with the ‘National Treasure’ written off of TV following a loss to Eric Young post-Slammiversary.

Per a report from PWInsider, Aldis’ run in IMPACT was designed to follow a story pattern, with the former TNA World Champion ‘nailing every story point’ and being praised for his work by sources within IMPACT.

Aldis returned to IMPACT at Rebellion in April and made a beeline straight for the IMPACT World Championship, but was unsuccessful in his attempt at Alex Shelley’s title. Many fans had factored Aldis to win the title at Slammiversary, but instead he finished up with the company just days later, with a move to WWE reportedly discussed.

Before returning to IMPACT in April, Aldis had most recently been the cornerstone of Billy Corgan’s NWA, having reigned as NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion for over 1300 days across two runs with the belt. Aldis and Corgan spectacularly fell out in late 2022.
