Shingo Takagi: Sting Carried Our Forbidden Door Match

An impressed Shingo Takagi

Shingo Takagi has stated that Sting carried their trios match at the joint Forbidden Door pay-per-view between All Elite Wrestling and NJPW.

Reflecting on who he would like to face in AEW while speaking to NJPW, Takagi stated: "Well, I think the guys that I have wrestled before, or had near misses with. So Bryan (Danielson) (Samoa) Joe, Claudio (Castagnoli), PAC. But then Sting...Sting just entirely carried that match we had (laughs). From the entrance on, it was all Sting. That's a legend for you. He was a role model for me going forward, that's the kind of wrestler I need to be."

Shingo teamed with Sting and Darby Allin as the Dudes With Attitudes at Forbidden Door and they ultimately picked up the win over Bullet Club's The Young Bucks and El Phantasmo.

Since returning to Japan, The Dragon has competed in several multi-man matches and the G1 Climax 32 recently got underway. Takagi's tournament didn't get off to a good start, though, as he was defeated by Juice Robinson in their opening match.
