Shotzi On Her AEW Blood & Guts Tweet: "I Meant No Offence To Chris Jericho"

Le Champion didn't take kindly to the joke

Beef between All Elite Wrestling's Chris Jericho and WWE's Shotzi Blackheart came to the surface earlier this year following AEW's Blood and Guts Match.

The climax of the event saw MJF callously push Chris Jericho off the top of the cell, causing The Painmaker to crash through empty cardboard boxes below before landing on a gym mat. The spot received criticism, though, as the gym mat could be easily seen by TV viewers as the Dynamite broadcast came to a close.

Jericho's landing ended up being mocked by some on social media, one of which was Shotzi Blackheart who tweeted a GIF of a woman landing on a soft bed following the match.

Jericho didn't take too kindly to the GIF, though, and he said in June: "Best of luck to anybody in our business, and anybody that bags on somebody who's taking a chance and putting their bodies on the line can really f*** off. Especially people in the business. I could say some names. There's a couple of chicks in WWE who said some stuff and they should probably not have said that. They probably weren't trained any better, and in 6 months they'll probably be asking us for a job anyways and I'll remember that, so we'll leave it at that."

Now a SmackDown Superstar, Shotzi has responded to Jericho's comments while speaking to talkSPORT.

"I meant no offence to Chris Jericho. I thought, honestly, the match was great. But, you know what... like, take a joke, Take a joke, bud! [laughs]. It's just a GIF. Laugh at it and move on. It's live TV. Things happen, it's pro wrestling. Don't take life too seriously is all I have to say," Blackheart said.
