Shotzi Out For Six Weeks Due To Injury
Shotzi will be out of action until 2023
Dec 12, 2022
WWE SmackDown’s women’s division will be one competitor short for the next six weeks after it was revealed that Shotzi will be out of action until 2023 with a suspected broken hand.
Ahead of SmackDown on December 9, a WWE digital exclusive showed Shotzi having her hand slammed in a car door by Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey during a backstage attack, with Shotzi’s singles match with Baszler on SmackDown cancelled as a result. Baszler and Rousey would instead team-up to take on Liv Morgan and Tegan Nox in tag action.
Taking to Twitter, the former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion posted an x-ray of her right hand with the caption “6weeks”, with Shotzi tagging both Baszler and Rousey in the tweet.
Shotzi last competed at a WWE house show on November 27, one night after losing to SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series WarGames.
If Shotzi’s Tweet is to be believed then the former ‘Blackheart’ should be back in mid-to-late January, surely in time for the WWE Royal Rumble on January 28.
