Report: Pitches For Several NXT Talents To Receive WWE Main Roster Call-Ups

WWE thinking about calling up NXT talents to the main roster

WWE are looking to move several NXT talents to the main roster, with a number of pitches having been made behind the scenes, according to Fightful Select

It was noted back in November that Cameron Grimes would be heading to the main roster after his feud with Joe Gacy came to an end. Gacy ultimately won the feud, defeating Grimes on the November 8 edition of NXT, and the former NXT North American Champion has not had a match on the developmental brand since.

Several WWE staff members told Fightful Select that Grimes was a natural fit on the main roster, with one pointing to The Technical Savage's familiarity with producer Shane Helms and his TV experience over the past five years from his time in NXT and IMPACT Wrestling.

Von Wagner has also been pitched for a possible main roster call-up but if he will actually be moved to Raw or SmackDown remains unknown. The second-generation talent has been a featured performer on NXT since September of 2021.

Furthermore, Fightful reported "there will be a more slow and steady flow of NXT talent brought up to the main roster moving forward" as opposed to talents spending multiple years in NXT like Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano, Keith Lee, and others.
