Signing Samantha Irvin 'Discussed' In AEW

Former WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin is finally a free agent this month after two years of being unable to perform anywhere else due to a condition of her deal meaning that her decision to leave WWE sparked a two year non-compete window being applied. Ever since news broke of her departure from WWE, speculation began buzzing about the potential for her to join husband Ricochet in AEW.

It was noted by Fightul Select that signing Samantha Irvin is something which has been ‘discussed internally’ on several occasions, though it was revealed that bringing her in would not be something that would happen immediately upon her free agency. She has reportedly been backstage several times at AEW and has sparked a strong relationship with the promotion, but there are no current plans to sign her.

Shortly following her exit from WWE, which created plenty of online discourse, Samantha Irvin explained that she didn’t enjoy announcing and wanted to do something more, though has made it clear that she would be interested in returning to the professional wrestling world at some point.
