Samantha Irvin On Wanting To Do More In WWE: I Don't Like Announcing

Samantha Irvin’s WWE exit shocked a lot of fans when she announced that she was leaving the company earlier in the week, with reported reasons for her exit including her desire to pursue outside projects in addition to wanting a more favourable schedule in order to be at home with her daughter. 

In her Instagram comments, Irvin has revealed some more details as to why she may have parted ways with WWE, responding to post replies accusing her partner (and AEW wrestler) Ricochet of being behind her departure.

“I don’t like announcing… I’m serious! Announcing was only supposed to be my way in. I wanted to manage, maybe even become general manager one day. But WWE saw no other future for me besides announcer. I love watching the action but I don’t love being an announcer."

Another reply also made the claim that Ricochet was the reason for her exit, to which she responded that her husband was a millionaire, so she didn’t have to do a job she didn’t like anymore. In reports, it was stated that Irvin was hoping to follow her passion for music, among other things, after failing to come to an agreement with WWE for her to work outside projects.
