Sloane Jacobs on her WWE exit
Nov 4, 2022
Sloane Jacobs had only been a part of WWE since March 2022 but she was released by the company this week along with Bodhi Hayward, Erica Yan, Damaris Griffin, and Ru Feng.
The 19-year-old has since commented on her release, posting the following on Instagram:
"Bend, don't break. No matter what, wrestling will always be my home, from when I was a fan in the crowd to when I was on tv. thank you @wwenxt for helping me learn and grow these past months. now onto whatever is next."
During her brief run in NXT, Jacobs competed in the NXT Women's Breakout Tournament, losing a first-round match to Fallon Henley. She spent much of her time competing on Level Up with her last televised match taking place on October 7.
Prior to her NXT run, she performed on the independents and AEW's YouTube shows as Notorious Mimi.
WWE reportedly released talents this week because of a 'lack of progression.' Bodhi Hayward's work ethic was also a factor in his release.
