SmackDown Tag Team Title Match Added To WWE Extreme Rules

The feud's been brewing for some time...

A match for SmackDown's Tag Team titles has been added to Sunday's Extreme Rules pay-per-view. Champions The New Day will defend against Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro in a tables match.

Cesaro defeated Big E in a match on Friday night's edition of SmackDown, which allowed he and Nakamura to choose the stipulation for Sunday's title bout. The choices were either a table match or a steel cage match.

Kofi Kingston made the save for Big E after the challengers tried to put him through a table in the SmackDown post-match. The New Day then tried doing the same to Cesaro, but the heels bailed.

The card for Sunday's Extreme Rules pay-per-view, taking place at the Performance Center in Orlando, is as follows:

*WWE World: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler (Ziggler will choose the stipulation for the match)

*Raw Women's: Asuka (c) vs. Sasha Banks

*SmackDown Women's: Bayley (c) vs. Nikki Cross

*Wyatt Swamp Fight: Braun Strowman vs. Bray Wyatt

*Eye For an Eye: Seth Rollins vs. Rey Mysterio

*WWE United States: Apollo Crews (c) vs. MVP

*SmackDown Tag Team/Tables Match: The New Day (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro
