Sol Ruca has admitted to thinking that her Sol Snatcher finishing move can be a double-edged sword, and she has actually considered utilising another finishing move alongside the Sol Snatcher.
"I’ve definitely had that thought before," Ruca stated on HUGE POP! "However, I feel like it’s all about everything else that you do in the ring and with the emotion that you’re putting behind it. Yes, sometimes the fans might not bite on a falsey that I do with someone because it’s not my finish. However, if you put the emotion behind it, if you’re pinning the person like, 'This is it' and then they kick out and your face changes, I think that’s how they bite into it. It doesn’t always have to be my finish in my mind. That’s kind of what I’m working towards more is working on those character bits and those facial expressions so people aren’t just watching and waiting for the finish."
Ruca added: "Yeah, I definitely have. I think if I were to have a secondary finish it probably has to be something that’s not high-flying. Maybe a submission or more of a power move because I do think that my finish - I don’t know if I could top that."
Ruca has utilised the Sol Snatcher - a sort of reverse shooting star press cutter – as her finishing move since 2022, with the move often going viral on social media.
After a successful run in NXT, Sol Ruca moved to the main roster following WrestleMania 42 and she is already a former WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion, having held the belt for 57 days until a loss to Raquel Rodriguez on the July 27 edition of Monday Night Raw.
