NXT’s Sol Ruca had yet another standout performance on WWE’s main roster, as her 2026 women’s Royal Rumble match cameo turned into more of a star-making performance by the end of it, as she impressed hugely by finishing in third place, lasting an impressive total of 50 minutes and 47 seconds before her eventual elimination.
The spot in which she eliminated was a strange one, as Ruca ran across the apron, up the turnbuckle, and looked to try and hit her Sol Snatcher finisher on Tiffany Stratton, who was also on the apron. Midway through her climb, Strattion grabbed Ruca’s legs and sent her flying onto the floor, getting eliminated in the process. It was hard to imagine how Ruca would have even hypothetically hit her move effectively or safely - something Ruca also questioned.
It has been revealed by Fightful Select that the 26-year-old questioned those booking the WWE Royal Rumble regarding this spot, though WWE’s producers who booked the match pushed it through anyway. Ruca’s uncertainty on the spot was one shared by several fans online, and even by those on commentary, who called out Ruca’s inexperience in trying a move like that in the Royal Rumble. Regarding the women's Rumble, more was learned this week about Brie Bella's WWE status after her comeback.
