John Cena put over Solo Sikoa in a big way at Crown Jewel 2023.

Many expected John Cena to win at the November 4 pay-per-view in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, especially as Cena talked about how he hadn't won a major singles match in years.

The 16-time world champion didn't turn around his fortunes at Crown Jewel, though, as he repeatedly failed to connect with the Attitude Adjustment during his match with Solo Sikoa. The Bloodline member also initially failed to hit his own finisher until he finally levelled Cena with a Samoan Spike.

From there, the match was reminiscent of Brock Lesnar's mauling of John Cena at SummerSlam 2014 as Big Match John failed to fight back and ate three more Samoan Spikes from Sikoa. The former NXT North American Champion refused to make the cover, though, and while Cena was on the mat, Sikoa lifted up his opponent's head and decked him with nine more Spikes.

With Cena down and out, Sikoa finally made the cover to pick up the biggest win of his career so far.
