SPOILER: Former IMPACT X-Division Champion Makes AEW Debut

A former IMPACT X-Division Champion made his All Elite Wrestling debut during the promotion's Dark: Elevation taping from Los Angeles, California on Wednesday, January 11. 

AEW taped Dark: Elevation ahead of a live edition of Dynamite and Willie Mack debuted during the taping, receiving a big reaction from the fans in attendance. The former X-Division Champion went one-on-one with Brian Cage, with The Machine picking up the win over his longtime rival. 

Cage and Mack have faced off on numerous occasions, first facing each other all the way back in 2009. They have had matches in the likes of Lucha Underground, House of Hardcore, and XPW. 

Mack was previously signed with IMPACT Wrestling from 2018 until his departure in May 2022. He has since been a regular in AAA and has also performed on the independents for Game Changer Wrestling, UWN, MLW, and XPW. If AEW plan to bring him in for future matches is unknown. 

Mack reigned as X-Division Champion for 88 days in 2020.
