SPOILER: Former ROH World Champion Returns To IMPACT Wrestling

A former ROH World Champion returned to IMPACT Wrestling at the latest tapings

IMPACT Wrestling held their latest round of TV tapings over the weekend, recording on Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10 in Pembroke Pines, Florida.

Whilst the shows mainly concentrated on the build to Hard to Kill on January 13, there was a surprise or two in the mix, with a former ROH World Champion making their return to IMPACT.

During the tapings, Eddie Edwards defeated Delirious in singles action, and proceeded to assault the former ROH mainstay post-match, leading to former ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham making his return to save Delirious and send Edwards packing.

This marks Gresham’s first appearance in IMPACT since March 2022, with ‘The Octopus’ having had a short run in the company in early 2022 following the closure of ROH. Gresham would later cut ties with ROH/AEW after dropping the ROH World Title to Claudio Castagnoli at ROH Death Before Dishonor in July, allegedly having a heated argument with ROH/AEW President Tony Khan beforehand.

Since leaving ROH, Gresham has wrestled for GCW, PWG, PROGRESS, and NJPW STRONG amongst others.
