SPOILER: Former WWE Star Returns To AEW At Rampage Taping

A former WWE star has returned to AEW at the recent Rampage tapings

All Elite Wrestling taped the upcoming edition of Rampage after the June 21 live edition of Dynamite, and during the tapings a former WWE star made their return to AEW.

The Acclaimed and ‘Daddy Ass’ Billy Gunn were victorious in trios action during the show, but were then confronted by QTV’s Harley Cameron who tried to rap her way into the crew. The Acclaimed and Gunn were then confronted by QT Marshall and co. but this was all a distraction as Johnnny Elite/Morrison/Hennigan/Mundo made his AEW return, turning heel and seemingly aligning with QT to beat down The Acclaimed.

This will mark the former WWE Intercontinental Champion’s first appearance in an AEW ring for over a year, with Johnny Elite having wrestled a handful of televised matches for AEW in May-June 2022, coming in as part of the inaugural Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Per a report from Fightful, there is no indication if Hennigan has signed any sort of deal with AEW. Hennigan’s wife Taya Valkyrie is a full-time member of the AEW locker room, having become 'All Elite' in March 2023.
