SPOILER: New Number One Contender For Eddie Kingston's ROH World Title Revealed

Eddie Kingston has a new challenger for his ROH World Championship

Eddie Kingston’s reign as Ring of Honor World Champion has gotten off to a very good start, with the ‘Mad King’ successfully defending the title - and the NJPW STRONG Openweight Title - against Katsuyori Shibata at AEW WrestleDream on October 1.

Kingston will have little time to rest, though, as a new number-one contender has been confirmed during the AEW Rampage TV tapings on October 4.

SPOILERS AHEAD

ROH Board of Directors member Stokely Hathaway announced on Dynamite that a four-way would take place to crown a new number-one contender, with Johnny TV, Lince Dorado, Komander, and Kingston’s friend Penta El Zero M all competing for a shot at the belt.

Eventually, it was Komander who emerged victorious, and will face Kingston for the title at a later date. This will be Komander’s second shot at the belt, having unsuccessfully challenged then-champion Claudio Castagnoli on AEW Rampage in June.

Kingston defeated old rival Castagnoli for the title at Dynamite Grand Slam III on September 20, 2023.
