All Elite Wrestling and WWE are set to go head-to-head for a packed night of professional wrestling on Tuesday, October 10. AEW Dynamite usually airs on a Wednesday night but the show has been preempted to Tuesday due to TBS's coverage of the MLB Playoffs.

Both shows have been loaded up, with WWE announcing John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Paul Heyman, and Asuka for various roles on next week's NXT. AEW, meanwhile, have packed out Dynamite Title Tuesday with major matches, including Adam Copeland vs. Luchasaurus, Hangman Page vs. Jay White, Bryan Danielson vs. Swerve Strickland, and Jon Moxley vs. Rey Fenix for the AEW International Championship. Chris Jericho will also take on Powerhouse Hobbs and Saraya will defend the AEW Women's World Title against Hikaru Shida.

While they even noted it was obvious within their report, Fightful Select has confirmed that WWE decided to beef up next week's NXT due to the show going head-to-head with AEW Dynamite and WWE expected Tony Khan's promotion to do the same.

AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT used to regularly go head-to-head during the Wednesday Night Wars between October 2019 and April 2021 until NXT moved to Tuesdays.
