SPOILER: New Title Match Made Official For Battle Of The Belts VIII During AEW Rampage

A new championship match will be made official for Battle of the Belts VIII on the October 20 episode of AEW Rampage. 

Rampage was taped following Dynamite on Wednesday night from the Ford Bend Epicenter in Rosenberg, Texas and the taping was main evented by a number one contender's match for the AEW International Championship.

The match saw John Silver take on Kip Sabian and Brother Zay in a Three-Way and Silver managed to pick up the win after he stole the pin on Brother Zay when Sabian appeared to have the match won. Silver will now challenge Orange Cassidy for the AEW International Title at Battle of the Belts VIII on Saturday, October 21 at 10 pm ET on TNT. The show will air immediately following Collision. 

John Silver and Orange Cassidy already have a history in AEW and Cassidy actually defeated Silver on pay-per-view back at Full Gear 2020. 

Orange Cassidy is currently in his second reign as AEW International Champion. He regained the belt from Rey Fenix at AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday on October 10. 

Other matches official for Battle of the Belts are Kris Statlander vs. Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship, and The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn vs. Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard, & Angelo Parker for the AEW World Trios Titles.
