Who will represent ROH at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty?

Following a live edition of AEW Collision from GalaxyCon in Columbus, Ohio, Ring of Honor taped future matches for ROH TV on HonorClub.

One of those matches was the Ring of Honor qualifier for the International Women's Cup match at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty from the Tokyo Dome on January 5. The four-way qualifier was ultimately won by ROH Women's World Champion Athena, who defeated Billie Starkz, ROH Women's World Television Champion Red Velvet, and Leyla Hirsch to advance to Wrestle Dynasty.

Athena has been the top star of the Ring of Honor women's division since 2022 and she has held the ROH Women's World Title for 730 days.

The International Women's Cup match will have representatives from ROH, AEW, STARDOM, and CMLL. The winner will earn a title shot in the promotion of their choice. The AEW representative will be determined at Winter is Coming when Jamie Hayter takes on Willow Nightingale.

The current Wrestle Dynasty card is as follows:

  • Kenny Omega vs. Gabe Kidd
  • The Young Bucks vs. Great-O-Khan & TBA - IWGP Tag Team Championships
  • Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Ricochet
  • David Finlay vs. Brody King
  • Yota Tsuji vs. Jack Perry
  • Shota Umino vs. Claudio Castagnoli
  • Shingo Takagi or Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Tomohiro Ishii - NEVER Openweight Championship
