SPOILER: Title Change Takes Place At TNA IMPACT Tapings

SPOILER: Title changes hands at TNA IMPACT tapings

A title change will take place on a future edition of TNA IMPACT.

TNA Wrestling taped future episodes of TNA IMPACT from the MegaCorp Pavilion in Newport, Kentucky on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19. Laredo Kid defended the TNA Digital Media Championship against AJ Francis on Sunday night but the champion was unsuccessful in his title defence, dropping the belt to the former Top Dolla.

His win on Sunday night secured AJ Francis his first title in a major promotion. Francis has been a part of TNA Wrestling since January's Hard To Kill pay-per-view and he went on to form a new faction in the promotion with Rich Swann. Francis has spent much of his run in the company so far feuding with Joe Hendry.

Beyond his TNA commitments, AJ Francis has wrestled for the likes of MLW, GCW, NWA, and various independent wrestling promotions since his WWE release in September 2023.

Laredo Kid had only been TNA Digital Media Champion since the Rebellion pay-per-view on April 20 when he defeated Crazzy Steve on the pre-show. The luchador defended the title once, defeating KC Navarro on the Under Siege pre-show on May 3.
