With WWE heading over to Saudi Arabia next week for the Night Of Champions premium live event, the decision was made to tape the May 26 edition of Friday Night SmackDown a week in advance following last night’s show. Spoilers for next week follow, courtesy of ITN WWE & WrestlePlace.
There were some fairly big talking points and takeaways from the show, such as Austin Theory successfully defending his United States Championship against Sheamus, and Shotzi stepping in to replace Liv Morgan in a tag team with Raquel Rodriguez.
- Austin Theory (c) defeated Sheamus - United States Championship
- Raquel Rodriguez & Shotzi defeated Damage CTRL (Bayley & IYO SKY)
- Cameron Grimes defeated Ashante Thee Adonis (after the match, Baron Corbin attacked Grimes)
- Bianca Belair cut an in-ring promo only to be interrupted by Asuka. After a brawl, Belair was the one who got the upper hand.
- LA Knight defeated Rick Boogs (Street Profits on commentary. LA Knight cut a promo on the Profits after the bell)
- AJ Styles defeated Karrios Kross (Mia Yim got involved, stopping Scarlett from interfering)
- KO Show w/Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa. The Bloodline got the upper hand following a brawl with Owens and Zayn.
