Stardom Match Set For NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 16
The participants have been revealed
World Wonder Ring Stardom's match at Wrestle Kingdom 16 has been confirmed.
Stardom will have a presence on night two of Wrestle Kingdom 16 on January 5, 2022, and after representatives from Stardom's five main factions drew straws during the company's show from Takadanobaba, Tokyo on December 12, it was revealed Mayu Iwatani will team with Starlight Kid against Tam Nakano and Saya Kamitani.
Stardom have held several special matches at New Japan's dome shows since Bushiroad bought the women's promotion in 2019. Mayu Iwatani and Arisa Hoshiki vs. Giulia and the late Hana Kimura was the first Stardom match in an NJPW ring at Wrestle Kingdom 14. Three Stardom matches then took place at Wrestle Kingdom 15 and two more took place at Wrestle Grand Slam in MetLife Dome earlier this year.
If the Wrestle Kingdom 16 Stardom match will air on NJPW World has not been revealed.
NJPW have already revealed the headliner of night two of Wrestle Kingdom 16 will be Will Ospreay vs. the winner of Kazuchika Okada vs. Shingo Takagi for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
