Stephen Amell Eyes The WWE Hall Of Fame Celebrity Wing

Stephen Amell wants to be a part of the WWE Hall of Fame

Stephen Amell is a celebrity who has thrown himself into the professional wrestling world on a fair few occasions. It all started in 2015 when he feuded with fellow “Arrow” actor Cody Rhodes, continuing their DC rivalry on WWE programming, in which Amell won a tag team match at SummerSlam.

He followed this up by competing in ROH and also at the 2018 All In PPV, where he would face Christopher Daneils. In recent years, Amell has starred in a wrestling themed show, Heelz, in which he has learned the ropes much more than he had done previously. In an interview with Graham “GSM” Matthews of Bleacher Report on WrestleRant, Amell eyed the Hall of Fame celebrity wing.

“I mean, fantasy booking, I’d love to have a WrestleMania match. Cody says this all the time. I’m one good match away from the Hall of Fame. One good match. Now I have a different standard than everyone else, if I was an actual professional wrestler and just sort of an interloping quote-on-quote celebrity appearance every once and a while, I’d have much much work to do. But I feel like for that wing of the WWE Hall of Fame, I’m like one good match away, and a Mania match counts as like ten matches, so we’ll see. It’s the Snoop Dogg/Arnold Schwarzenegger wing of the Hall of Fame.”

Whether or not Cody Rhodes’ return to WWE will mean a return for Amell is uncertain, but it is more of a possibility than it was previously.
