Sting Takes First Bump Since 2015 On AEW Dynamite

He was left lying on the mat following a Powerbomb from Brian Cage

The rivalry between Sting and Team Taz continued on last night's episode of AEW Dynamite and the segment ended with The Icon taking his first bump since 2015.

Team Taz minus Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs opened the segment and said there was no better time for Sting to call out the faction. Their wish was ultimately granted moments later as Stinger made his way to the squared circle. Taz then goaded the Hall Of Famer into dropping his trusty baseball bat and Sting went straight after Brian Cage.

The two men briefly brawled inside the squared circle before Hook intervened and distracted Sting. This gave Brian Cage the opening to hoist The Franchise onto his shoulders and deliver a vicious Powerbomb.

Some fans were worried about Sting following the segment, particularly as it was his first bump on TV since Night Of Champions 2015, but Tony Schiavone confirmed on the AEW Dynamite Post-Show that the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion was "okay."

After Schiavone was asked by a fan why AEW let Sting take the bump, he replied: "Well Jeff, because he obviously wants to and he obviously thinks it's good for business. And by the way Jeff, as scary as that may be, and I know what you're getting at, he's okay. So there you go."
