Report: Update On Bo Dallas' WWE Status

He hasn't been on TV since November 2019

Bo Dallas has been absent from WWE TV for over a year and hasn't competed inside a WWE ring since a house show in Zurich, Switzerland in November 2019.

According to Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, the former NXT Champion hasn't been on TV because WWE creative genuinely has nothing for him.

Meltzer added: "He's there [Bo Dallas] and you know how they say 'creative has nothing for him?' In his case that's actually true. Usually when people say that it's something else. I don't know why he's never been cut, they never use him. But, they didn't cut him and they cut all of those guys that they cut in April. He's still there, still got a job. No idea what or why or anything. Big mystery."

In an update on the situation, Fightful Select reported Dallas was backstage at a couple of recent SmackDown shows which was the first time he's been at WWE TV for "quite some time." Dallas took some time off in November 2019, which is why he stopped appearing on TV, and Fightful were told he was a welcome face backstage. Dallas hasn't suffered any significant injuries which would have kept him on the sidelines and there is no update on when he might return to the ring.

H/T to WrestleTalk for the Meltzer quote.
