Report: Konnan Hospitalised With Kidney Issues

The issues are said to be "fairly serious"

Dave Meltzer reported on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that Konnan has been hospitalised with a "fairly serious" kidney issue.

Meltzer said: "I don't know all the details but I know he's hospitalised and it's a kidney issue. He had a kidney transplant in 2007 and it's pretty serious. And there's probably more to the story but I don't have all of the details confirmed, but it doesn't sound particularly good to me as far as like the whole situation. But, that's all I know. It's fairly serious."

No further details are known as of the time of writing.

Konnan has suffered from kidney problems in the past and had a kidney transplant in 2007. He was briefly forced to step away from the ring following the surgery but he ultimately returned and wrestled on and off for 12 more years in different promotions before retiring after AAA TripleMania 27 in 2019.

Everyone at Cultaholic would like to wish Konnan a speedy recovery.
