A stipulation has been added to Friday's Undisputed WWE Universal Title match between champion Roman Reigns and Riddle.

Roman Reigns' Special Counsel Paul Heyman opened Monday's episode of Raw as a guest on Miz TV but he soon found himself being confronted by Riddle ahead of Friday's match. Heyman soon turned the tables on The Original Bro, though, and he announced that Riddle will not be able to challenge for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship again while Reigns is champion should he lose on SmackDown.

Riddle earned a title shot on the June 10 episode of SmackDown when he defeated Sami Zayn. Had Riddle lost that match, he would have been banished from SmackDown.

Friday will be Roman Reigns' first defence of the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship since WWE's world titles were unified in a Winner Take All Match against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38. Reigns has signed a new WWE contract in recent months that allows him to work a lighter schedule and he worked a six-man tag at the WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view before he skipped Hell In A Cell altogether.
