Stipulation Added To WWE SummerSlam Main Event

Cody Rhodes Vs. Solo Sikoa has a new stipulation

The main event of the SummerSlam 2024 premium live event is set to see Cody Rhodes defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against the new leader of the Bloodline and the new “Tribal Chief” Solo Sikoa. On last night’s episode of SmackDown, during a segment between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa, there was an additional asterisk placed upon the bout.

The match will now be contested under “Bloodline Rules”, which is essentially just a no disqualification, no count-out, anything goes stipulation. The Bloodline arrived to confront Rhodes on SmackDown, and it was Sikoa who issued out the challenge. Rhodes admitted it wasn’t the smart decision, but being the courageous fighting champion he is, he accepted the challenge and agreed to make it “Bloodline Rules”.

The last match contested under this stipulation was the WrestleMania 40 main event, in which the likes of The Rock, The Undertaker, John Cena, and more interfered, opening the door for Rhodes to win. SummerSlam 2023’s main event between Jey Uso and Roman Reigns was also fought under Bloodline Rules, and it saw interference from Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso.
