Street Profits holding the WWE Tag Team Titles

The WWE Universe at the Pavelló Olímpic de Badalona in Barcelona, Spain for last night’s March 14 episode of Friday Night SmackDown experienced a big moment as a title change took place on the show.

Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford of the Street Profits picked up a massive win over Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano of DIY, becoming the brand new WWE Tag Team Champions. The final moments of their title match on SmackDown saw Gargano inadvertently nail his own partner with a superkick, with Dawkins avoiding a Meet In The Middle. Dawkins then hit a big spinebuster on Gargano, before Ford came crashing down with his signature frog splash to score the pinfall win for the duo, causing a big title change.

The Street Profits have not held tag team gold since all the way back in 2021, where they previously reigned as RAW Tag Team Champions. DIY’s reign comes to an end after 98 days, bringing their second run with the gold to a close. The Profits interfered in the match between DIY and Motor City Machine Guns at the Royal Rumble, setting their sights firmly on the tag titles. This has now paid off, as SmackDown now has brand new champions.
