Swerve Strickland Reveals Why His Keith Lee AEW Feud Never Had An Ending

Swerve Strickland speaks about the apparent non-ending to his AEW feud with Keith Lee.

In a recent interview with WrestlePurists, AEW's Swerve Strickland was asked why his feud with former tag partner Keith Lee had no definitive conclusion. In response, he explained:

“That’s a creative decision. I wouldn’t say there’s anything personal, it’s a creative decision. And once again, that’s something I have to trust, that’s something Keith has to trust, and something the fans have to trust in watching the product. We haven’t steered you wrong yet.”

Strickland and Lee - dubbed 'Swerve in our Glory' - won the AEW World Tag Team Championships at night one of Fyter Fest 2022. They held the titles for just over two months, losing to The Acclaimed at Grand Slam. The pair broke up as a team in December, with Swerve turning heel shortly afterwards and forming the Mogul Affiliates stable (now Mogul Embassy.)

Swerve won a grisly Texas Death Match against Hangman Adam Page at last Saturday's Full Gear. It has already been hailed by many fans and critics as a Match of the Year contender.

Conversely, Keith Lee's appearances in AEW have been sporadic (relative to Strickland's current prominence.) His last appearance on an AEW pay-per-view main card was at Double or Nothing 2023, as a participant in the 21-Man Blackjack Battle Royal.
