Tag Team Championship Match Set For WWE NXT WarGames 2021

The NXT Tag Team Championship Match for NXT WarGames 2021 has been confirmed. 

Kyle O'Reilly and Von Wagner will challenge Imperium's Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner for the gold at Sunday's pay-per-view. The bout was confirmed after O'Reilly and Wagner defeated Legado Del Fantasma in a number one contenders match on this week's episode of WWE NXT.

O'Reilly and Wagner have slowly formed a strong bond on NXT in the past few months, with the duo first hinting at an alliance during the relaunch episode of NXT 2.0 in September. Since then, the duo have teamed regularly, despite O'Reilly's initial reluctance to form another tag-team after the way The Undisputed Era ended.

The NXT WarGames match will be Imperium's first defence of the NXT Tag Team Championships since they won the Titles from MSK at NXT Halloween Havoc back in October.

The updated card for NXT WarGames 2021 is as follows:

• Roderick Strong (c) vs. Joe Gacy - NXT Cruiserweight Championship
