Tanga Loa Out For Rest Of 2022 With Injury

No Tanga Loa for a little while

A popular NJPW talent is out of action for the rest of the year.

Tanga Loa has not competed inside the squared circle since Capital Collision back in May and it was announced shortly after that the seven-time IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champion was dealing with a knee injury.

In an update, Tama Tonga revealed on his podcast that Tanga Loa suffered a torn MCL and he would be out of action for the remainder of 2022.

"We got our other brother Tanga Loa but he's been injured, tore his MCL and just had surgery a couple months ago so he'll be out for the rest of the year but he's making progress. He isn't able to run yet but he's able to walk and do some stuff. Just the running part is the hardest part right now. But he's doing well, he's moving forward. Looking forward to having him come back," Tama said.

During Tanga Loa's absence, Hikuleo has abandoned Bullet Club and sided with his brothers. Tama Tonga has also continued to develop as a star and he challenged Jay White for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at Declaration of Power today.
