"That Was Such A Special Time In My Career" - Carmella Reflects On Working With R-Truth In WWE

Carmella says the time working with R-Truth in WWE was one of the most special points in her career, admitting it helped her to show a different side of her character. 

Carmella and Truth formed one of the most entertaining double acts in wrestling when they teamed up in 2018, with Carmella helping her friend to hang on to the WWE 24/7 Championship at every opportunity.

The alliance came to an end in 2019 when Carmella pinned R-Truth to win the Title from him, followed by them being split up in the 2019 WWE draft, but Carmella has nothing but fond memories of that time teaming with him.

Speaking to Stephanie Chase of Digital Spy, Carmella said: "I was running around with R-Truth but I'm grateful for that time now when I look back because it was so different and I got to be involved in the show in a different way and show a different side of my character. 

"So it's just completely different from Reginald because when I was with Reginald I was in the division, I was number one contender, it was a little more serious compared to when I was with R-Truth, it was more fun and games.

"R-Truth is R-Truth, he's a legend, he's been around forever and he's not afraid to make a fool of himself and I just learned so much from him during our time together. He was like, 'Oh this is really silly but, you know what, we're going to do it, we're going to make the most of it,' and I'm like, 'Yeah of course we are!'

"We just always had so much fun and we would even travel together sometimes and that was such a special time in my career."
