The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn are coming for AEW Trios Champions The House of Black
The Acclaimed’s AEW World Tag Team Championship loss to The Gunns was decried by some members of the AEW audience, but Max Caster and Anthony Bowens aren’t resting on their laurels, and have announced their intentions to go for the AEW Trios Championships alongside Daddy Ass Billy Gunn.
The trio took the House of Black House Rules open challenge for the belts at AEW Double or Nothing on May 28, but were unsuccessful in unseating The House as Champions.
On the May 31 edition of AEW Dynamite, the trio announced their intentions to come for the belts again, telling Renee Paquette they win as a team, they lose as a team, and they are the people’s choice.
Anthony Bowens admitted they were ‘screwed’ out of their tag titles, and they wanted to give back to Billy Gunn by getting gold back around the veteran’s waist once more.
The House of Black have been in possession of the Trios Championships since defeating The Elite team of Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks at AEW Revolution on March 5 2023.
