Report: AEW Star Believed To Be Close To In-Ring Return

An injured AEW star is believed to be nearing an in-ring return

All Elite Wrestling are reportedly set to welcome an absent star back to the fold soon, with the news that Leyla Hirsch is nearing an in-ring return.

Fightful Select are reporting that ‘Legit’ is nearing a return to active competition after over a year on the sidelines with an ACL tear. Hirsch picked up the injury in April 2022 during a match with Christina Marie on AEW Dark Elevation.

Prior to the injury, Hirsch was receiving a push on AEW television, having defeated Kris Statlander on PPV at Revolution 2022, and was in the early stages of a heel run.

Hirsch has been appearing for AEW since October 2020, officially signing a deal with the company 2020, with AEW later announcing the signing in March 2021.

Highlights of Hirsch’s AEW run include the aforementioned victory over Statlander, an AEW Women’s Championship title eliminator match against Thunder Rosa, and a shot at NWA Women’s Champion Kamille at NWA Empowerrr with the set-up played out on AEW television.

The state of the AEW women’s division has changed drastically since Hirsch has been out of action, and it remains to be seen if ‘Legit’ ends up on Dynamite, Collision, or even in Ring of Honor.
