The Ascension's First Bookings Since Leaving WWE Announced

The Wasteland finds a new home...

On December 8th, WWE announced they had released The Ascension, along with Sin Cara and Luke Harper.

Konnor and Viktor had not wrestled on WWE TV since the April 8th episode of Main Event, when they were defeated by Heavy Machinery. Before they moved to the main roster, The Ascension were one of the most successful tag teams in NXT history, and still hold the record for the longest reign as NXT Tag Team Champions.

Now the team's first bookings outside of WWE have been announced. Similar to Luke Harper and Sin Cara, they have a 90-day no-compete clause, meaning they can't wrestle anywhere until March 8th 2020.

They are currently scheduled to be in action for Xtreme Wrestling Alliance at The Watervliet Dome in Watervliet, New York on March 21st. Their opponents have yet to be announced, but the promotion has teased it will be a "SmackDown rematch."

They will then compete in Pennsylvania Premiere Wrestling at Super Show 3 on April 18th. The event will be held at the Holy Family Academy in Hazleton, Pennsylvania.
